CRA was engaged by a major European utility to investigate suspected accounting irregularities at its East European joint venture. Detailed investigation and testimony, both as to fact and to U.S. GAAP, led to an arbitrator’s finding that the accounts and profits of the venture had been systematically manipulated over a number of years.
